This week, I wanted to share a few family-friendly events that are coming up in our local communities.
Nashville Fall Festival
October 31st, the town of Nashville will be holding a Fall Festival at Harold C. Cooley Library. From 4:00 to 5:30 pm, there will be games, glitter tattoos, and a cake walk in the library and the council chambers. From 5:30 to 6:15 pm, there will be trick or treating held in downtown Nashville. Then to finish off the night, there will be a 6:30 showing of Hocus Pocus in the library parking lot.
Town of Louisburg Trick or Treat on Main
Halloween night, the Town of Louisburg will be having a trick or treating event. The fire department, police department, Historic Downtown Louisburg, and local businesses will be giving out candy. The event will be from 6-8 pm at 116 N Main Street.
Franklin Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony
On Veterans Day- November 11th- the town of Franklin will be holding a Veterans Day parade and ceremony. The parade begins at 10:30 am and will travel from Franklin Town Hall to the Gazebo on the Square. The Franklin High School marching band will be performing and there will be a ceremony after the parade at 11 am. If you are a veteran and are interested in participating in the lineup, please arrive at 10 am. During the ceremony there will be music, guest speakers, a wreath laying, and a playing of Taps. In addition, at the Uptown Gallery there will be a Veterans Day portrait presentation. Come out to show your support and to honor those who have sacrificed so much for our nation.
